Meet Hania Lawrence

My name is Hania Szrodt Lawrence.

I was born and educated in Warsaw, Poland and have been an aesthetician for 35 years. Over the years I have been continuing my education on both continents. A lot has changed in my field over my years of practice. I have witnessed many breakthroughs, fascinating developments, as well as some old ideas made new with funny gadgets.

One truth that has not changed is the building and function of our skin. My core belief is that a key element to keep your skin healthy and firm is to work on the tissue/dermal layer. This layer of the skin determines how your skin or epidermal layer looks to others, to you in the mirror, and to the camera’s eye.

The ability to impact the dermal layer in its production of collagen, elastin, etc. remains the biggest challenge in my field. We know how to smooth the surface with peels and exfoliation, but to repair damage from the sun, wind, pollution, our age, and past harms has eluded the satisfaction of researchers and aestheticians and continues to be an area of study.

Over the years the beauty industry has developed amazing tools to do just that. From harsh additives, CO2, lasers, radio frequency, microneedeling, ultrasounds, and plasma fibroblasting.

All these techniques have ONE common goal—to put your skin in a stage of inflammation to trigger the wound healing process which results in increasing the production of collagen. The difference among these methods is their level of effectiveness or level of improvement, their duration of down time to recover and their pain level or discomfort.

Also, with a better understanding of the microcellular and biochemical fields, there’s been a big leap in the discoveries of topical remedies such as vitamin C and AHA acids then Growth Hormone Therapy. The newest cutting edge scientific discovery are exosomes which are released by stem cells and act as important messengers between cells encouraging the body’s natural healing and repairing process.

All these discoveries give us a better than ever chance to slow aging, reverse some damage, and avoid plastic surgery. Systematic care with a specialist provides a path to better and healthier skin. Skin is our largest living organ and never sleeps. Treat it with a comprehensive home routine and regular salon/spa visits.
